YG took to Twitter in early April to reveal that he planned to release a surprise album on 12 April but decided that he would postpone the release of the project by a month, following the sudden demise of Nipsey Hussle. The rapper went to Twitter earlier this month again to reveal an exact date for the time the album, set on the 24th, was dropped.
As promised, YG drops an expectable album of his 4REAL album last midnight and leaks the cover-art to honor Nipsey Hussle’s memory 3 days ago. Yesterday, he went to talk about his album with a rapper “Heart Two Hearts,” and before the nip’s death he and Nipp were working on a music interview with Bootleg Kev and DJ He d of Real 92.3. During the discussion, Kev and He d asked if there was any light on the joint project for both rappers which YG reacted to with a separate “specific project” which was to be a “next-level crap.”
“Right before he passed, I had a special project I’d been working with Nip,” said YG. He explained why they hadn’t released this before, sayin. “I and Nip were only in the studio, like last September, October; we had started trying to work on this project again and we tried to put this out by December.” “It’s like we are going to have that happen, his family and everyone wants this, it’s a priority for me. There wasn’t any shit,” he explained.
