James Harden Survives Career-Worst Shooting To Power Rockets In Game 3 Win
Believe it or not, James Harden claims that last night’s Game 3 contest he did not shoot his 0-15 at the start. His early struggles marked up to that point a career-low. Never before had Harden missed so many consecutive shots in his career-yet “The Beard” inevitably gained prominence when it counted most, scoring 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to power the Houston Roc
In addition to registering as a personal low, Harden’s 0-15 shooting also goes down over 20 years of NBA basketball’s most consecutive playoff misses. Put this in perspective, a single basket was not scored by the Rockets guard until 7:34 in the 4th quarter remained on the clock-when a fastbreak dunk marked the beginning of a manic spree to the end of the game. It was all back and dagger from there.
From there, it was all step backs and daggers, and there was little that Utah Jazz could do to prevent it from happening, given how close the scoreline was going into the 4th. Game 4 is in Utah with a start time of 10:30 pm ET. Cover your bets!
