Donald Trump Delays Harriet Tubman $20 Bill Until He’s Out Of Office

Harriet Tubman is one of the most significant women in America’s history. After her birth in slavery, she took about 13 missions to rescue over 70 slaves and became one of the heroes of the nation. When Barack Obama presented his plans for the $20 bill to Tubman, a lot of people rejoiced. He himself is a slave owner, and Andrew Jackson, who is on the $20 bill, walked hard to avoid Native Americans visiting his country. The $20 bill in Tubman was supposed to be replaced by 2020 but it isn’t a priority at the moment according to President Donald Trump and Steven Mnuchin.

People are outraged after Harriet Tubman is announced to sit back at least till 2026. Mnuchin, Secretary of the Treasury, noted that Trump focused more on other actions, renouncing a women in 150 years for the first time on an American banknote.

“In fact, at a congressional hearing on Wednesday, I’m focusing on the security features of American currency.” “It is not a decision that will probably reach far beyond my term, although I serve as president for the second term, so I am not focusing on this currently,” he adds, according to the Guardian.

The $ 10 and $ 50 bills will instead be redesigned to prevent counterfeit currency exchange. Understandably, the decision to delay the $ 20 bill for Harriet Tubman is not happy for people.
